I met this cute little bulldog in front of my house today. He and his daddy/owner were out for a bit of a walk and I just couldn’t resist saying hello.

Dudley is almost 12 weeks, and he has the best wrinkles and floppy ears ever!

He was fun to play with too, although he seemed to acquire the taste for camera lens. You’ll be surprised at the cool soft effect a little puppy slobber on the lens will give you!

Without further adieu,

Dudley

Yesterday I had the honor of photographing Lara and Brian’s wedding. They had the wedding in the backyard of their new home. They have spent the past few months getting it ready, digging, planting, cultivating. And their efforts were well worth it.

It was amazing! And we had great weather to boot; I was nervous on Saturday because it was 1000 degrees (well, ok, it wasn’t , but I don’t like HOT and in Camarillo it was 95 and to me, well it might as well be 1000). Sunday rolled around and it was perfect….a nice 85ish. Well, we glistened a bit (women don’t sweat, we glisten) but nothing we couldn’t handle, and it was nice to have the misters up and running.

I had to post a few pictures from yesterday….

this is their flower girl, precious!

the Bread Basket in Camarillo provided the gorgeous cake

Congrats to Lara and Brian!!!

I met Alisa & Mike through my sister-in-law a few years ago. I photographed Alisa and her sister

once before…and they were amazing I might add!

Alisa and Mike are getting married in September, after being together only 7 years(!)

I was lucky when they asked me to come and hang out with them in Santa Barbara for a couple of hours

and have some fun!

Congrats to Alisa & Mike!

I spent Memorial weekend in Oregon celebrating my Dad’s birthday and retirement. What a bash that was! I will share how the Hungarians like to party in a different post.

For now, I’d like to share a few shots from a winery that is just down the way from my parent’s vineyard.

Methven Family Vineyards has a beautiful tasting room and this weekend had some amazing sushi to go along with their wines. We were even taken on a private tour with the Winemaker himself. I was lucky to sneak off while my brother asked him what seemed like a million questions about winemaking (he plans on starting his own vineyard in the next couple of years).

So, while they talked shop, I shot away!

The tasting room is within walking distance from my parents house!

Oh my gosh! I can not wait for Lara and Brian’s wedding!

I had the best shoot with these two today…although it was quite warm (that’s understatement).

Brian and Lara found this location together, and Brian proposed here!!!

Throughout the whole shoot, I noticed how much  you can feel the love between them…not just see it, but

really feel it. I’m so lucky to work with such wonderful clients.

They were troopers! They were up for anything, thanks Lara for trekking up that mountain in heels!!!

and that wild wheat? with the sticky-poky things? ya, I got those stuck in, um, well let’s just say some

really interesting places!

I was in pure photog heaven from the minute we got here to the minute we left…

Thank you Brian and Lara for a beautiful afternoon, amazing shoot and intoducing such a great location

to me! I am really looking forward to your wedding next month!

So many great shots, here are some of my favorites

Look who’s 2!

My niece turned 2! I can’t believe how fast time flies!

It feels like yesterday that I was shooting my Sister-in-Law’s Maternity portraits.

But here is my dear Chloe…not a baby anymore, but a little girl

She thought it was the funniest thing ever to smear cake all over her face…and she’s right,

I laughed so hard! The more I laughed, the more she smeared!

I laugh every time I look at this picture, she looks drunk with sugar…

and cake frosting EVERYWHERE…in her hair-that’s why it’s sticking out, in her eyes, all over her face and even her hands are green…

and after she took a bath, she put on her new polka-dot coat and played with her Auntie

Just a quick reminder that tomorrow is Mother’s Day (ok, so I’m sure you don’t reminder) but

if you are looking for a unique and really special Mother’s Day present, give her the gift of portraiture!

The Mother’s Day Special includes a portrait session with Mom and the kids and a 5×5 Keepsake Album

with 20 of her favorite images from the photo shoot.

Gift Certificates are available!!!

Have a great weekend and a beautiful Mother’s Day!

Miss Mandi Rose

I met those cutie patootie last weekend and she and her whole family are wonderful.

Mandi Rose is 6 months and has the biggest brown eyes and cutest little feet.

She is just beautiful.

I am so excited to show off one of the new products from Julia Varga Photography-The Art of Life

Digital Keychains loaded up with your favorite images from your shoot!

This little number comes in black or silver and has a 1.5 inch display screen, 4.8 MB of memory, a USB cable for uploading images and to recharge the battery. There is no software needed, it pops up when you plug it into the computer and is super-easy to use.

I already loaded up mine with a few (oh about 85) photos and I can’t stop looking at it! You can scroll the pictures manually, or you can let the slideshow play. It even has an auto shut off so the battery is not wasted!

Here is mine:

(I do want to say, I had to brighten the pictures up here, it just wasn’t photographing well enough!)

I met these two at Camarillo Grove Park the other day and they did great posing for me!

more pet portraits to come soon!

I went down to San Diego county last weekend to photograph Sasha who is eagerly

awaiting her first little one.

I am only partially through working on her images, but I wanted to share my new

all time Maternity Shoot favorite image. I even told her while we were shooting that these were going up on the blog as the new favs.

Earlier this week I photographed the biggest Chocolate Covered Ice Cream Truffles I have ever seen!

They were huge! This was for a shoot for a local dessert company that has it’s very own farm.

One of these photos, they haven’t chosen exactly which one, will be on the box for the truffles and will be sold at Costco.

I also photographed a yummy Strawberry Ice Cream Cake that will be out for Mother’s Day!

One of my shots will be on the box that will also be available at Costco….

The cakes will be out in stores with in 2 weeks, and the truffles….3-4 weeks,

please let me know if you see them anywhere!

Remember those food shots I did for the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Ventura?

Well, the Dining Guide came out yesterday and my shots are on the first inside page!!!

(so is that page 1? page 3? I don’t know)

But here is the cover

Heather and Tim tied the knot last month and I wanted to give y’all a sneak peek!

Take a look under the Specials tab for the Mother’s Day Special!

I know I say this a lot, but I can’t believe how quickly little ones sprout!

Kaila is 6 months old!

We really had the most perfect day at Foster Park on Sunday…

(this might have to be my new favorite park!)

Look at those rosy cheeks!

I met Birgit back in October when I was photographing the MOMs Club of Camarillo.

She and her family are here in America from Germany for a year and a half; they will be going home in November.

We talked about what typical portraits look like in Germany; they are very different! Birgit was so excited when I explained to her my style of photography and how I typically shoot.

Here are a few of my favorites from her shoot at the infamous Leo Carrillo State Beach

Macy

This is Macy…I met her while photographing her family in a newer part of Camarillo called
Village at the Park. This new neighborhood is beautiful!
Macy has an older brother, Quaid, and I will post his portraits shortly…
I was having so much fun with Macy, she’s so energetic and up for anything, and she’s a dancer too!
This is a collage of some of my favorite portraits of Macy
